No Matter How Good Food is, It Can Be Harmful if Eaten at The Wrong Time

October 25, 2022 · In: Daily Healthy Meals, Prevent Sickness

Did you know that choosing the right food is good, but eating it the wrong way causes more harm than choosing the “right person at the wrong time”? Because there are many very nutritious foods that will “defeat” and cause harm if you eat the wrong meal, at the wrong time, in the wrong order! Let  us tell  you the secret to eating the right food – at the right time to promote your health in the best way!

1. Rice

Rice contains a lot of complex carbohydrates, rich in energy, so it takes a long time for the body to digest. Therefore, you need to eat rice/rice for breakfast and lunch to have more energy for the whole working day. And of course, you should limit eating rice at dinner, avoid storing excess energy, causing weight gain, causing the stomach to take more time to digest, which can make you lose sleep, not sleep well even affect your activities. activity of the digestive system.

2. Sugar

It is best to stay away from chemical sugars if you are following a healthy diet . Sometimes if you are too sweet, you can eat a small piece of cake or a bar of bitter chocolate (chocolate bitter). Our biggest mistake is eating sweets as a snack or snack. The use of sweets instead of snacks causes your blood sugar to spike, making you more tired and anxious than providing energy. To minimize the harmful effects of sweets, eat them right after the main meal. This way, your blood sugar won’t rise significantly.

3. Bananas

Did you know that eating bananas on an empty stomach can do instead of providing energy? At first, you may feel more energetic, because the high sugar content of bananas is immediately absorbed by the body. But after a few hours, you will quickly get tired and hungry again. Eating bananas on an empty stomach is also taboo for people with poor digestion. If you have a habit of eating bananas for breakfast, combine it with some other foods that contain unsaturated fats like peanut butter or cereal.

4. Citrus fruits – tangerines

Fruits such as oranges, grapefruits, lemons, tangerines contain a lot of acid, if you eat them right after the main meal, they will increase the formation of acid in the stomach and cause some unpleasant digestive problems such as heartburn, colds, and heartburn. abdominal heaviness and slow absorption of nutrients. You need to wait from half an hour to an hour after a meal to enjoy your favorite orange/lemon juice.

5. Apples

Apples are high in fiber and contain natural acids that help improve the digestive system. However, if you eat apples in the evening, the amount of acid from them can build up in the stomach causing bloating and discomfort. Eating apples at night can also lead to excessive gas formation and problems with bowel movements. This happens because digestion slows down in the evening to prompt us to go to sleep. The best time to eat apples is in the morning, when apples help stimulate bowel movements after a long sleep. This is especially beneficial if you ate late the night before or ate too many greasy foods.

6. Coffee

Drinking a cup of coffee right after waking up is actually quite… useless! During the first hour after waking up, our bodies naturally produce the hormone cortisol that keeps the body awake. Therefore, nutritionists recommend that you do not need to “pump” more coffee within 3 hours of waking up, so as not to disrupt your body’s natural circadian rhythm. Some studies also show that drinking coffee before meals increases our tolerance to caffeine, so you have to drink more and more every day to stay awake. You should also not drink coffee after 4 pm to avoid insomnia in the evening.

7. Milk

Some people have a habit of starting their day with a glass of milk from a young age, but this habit is not good for adults. Milk is difficult to digest, so drinking it in the morning and combining it with other foods can cause heartburn and upset stomach. Evening is the best time to have a glass of warm milk. It helps to calm the body, relaxes us and offers a good night’s sleep .

8. Meat

Meat is an excellent source of protein and B vitamins, but eating too much meat can overwhelm the digestive system. That’s why you should cut back on meat for dinner and before bed. If you crave too much, choose lean meat and eat it at least 3 hours before going to bed, because it gives a feeling of fullness and does not contain excessive calories that can cause weight gain.

9. Nuts

Nuts are a great source of healthy fats and energy, but don’t eat them as a late-night snack. If you eat too many nuts, it will take a long time for your body to digest, making it difficult for you to sleep. Save cereal for breakfast or a snack during the day to get all the benefits: boost heart health , regulate cholesterol, contribute to weight loss,  beautify skin and hair.

10. Yogurt

Yogurt contains probiotics that are good for digestion, but should be avoided on an empty stomach or before meals. The reason is because yogurt contains lactic acid that can reduce the acidity of the stomach, thereby slowing down the digestion process. Eat yogurt about 1-2 hours after your main meal for lactic acid to work most effectively for your digestion. Eating yogurt before bed will be very good, as it will fill your body with protein, which contributes to muscle growth.

With the above information, we hope you will establish yourself a digestive system-friendly diet and bring the best benefits to your body!
